water-mate pressure regulator

I have a brass water pressure regulator that began to leak water from the hole in the side of the housing.(drilled by the manufacturer) I figured that apparently park pressure was too high, and had a cheap plastic regulator as a spare. Well,it also leaked thru it's hole! I've talked to a few "experts" but can't come up with anything positively conclusive. Also,I can't find a web site for the product although their currently available from Amazon. Any Pros out there who may know the answer to the mystery hole? The park claimed I was the only one who reported this problem to them.....walt
