Water Filtration System for Drinking Water

The previous owner may have removed the filtered water tap on our unit. I've reached the end of my rope with buying jugs of bottled water!!!

There is a hole on the counter with a cover on it that can accept a tap for filtered water. Wondering if the Culligan model is a good choice and if it will provide good tasting water and also remove the contaminants from the city water? At home, we have a reverse osmosis system but not sure I want to invest that much real estate under the sink.

Here's the one from Camping World:

There is nothing wrong with that model, especially with replacement cartridges/filters 1/2 the cost of the Everpure which my AS has. As a fulltimer, I am seriously considering the RO option as well as some sort of RV water softening system. Cost of such systems is a consideration as well as the real estate required. Water quality is big concern of mine, but I don't have satisfying answers yet, either. Keep us posted which way you decide to go!

We use a 3M Filtrete; I got this as a replacement for the Everpure. There are cheaper units, but I like 3M products in general. This one works well, was easy to install and delivers very fresh tasting water.

Installed the Culligan unit - EZ install & water tastes a lot better than Houston tap water - no more lugging gallon jugs around!!!
