Water drain

We have a 1977 31 foot rear bath Tradewind Land Yacht

Can anyone tell me PLEASE where the drain valve is for the fresh water that you fill from outside.

We are aware of the pull values in the back for the gray water etc.

But can't locate one to empty fresh water out of tank that was not used

ANY help is appreciated! !

My 77 Safari has 2 ways to drain the fresh water tank.
Inside the cabinet under the bathroom sink are valves that drain outside underneath the rear of the trailer, they are part of the freshwater system so the pump runs until the tank is empty.

The other method is to crawl under the trailer and remove the access panel in the tank cover, there's a valve inside that will let the tank drain by gravity.

Maybe things changed between '73 and '77, but on my '73 the only way to get water out of the fresh water tank is via the pump. There were several drains in the water lines designed to help you get the water out of the lines for the winter, but no "low point" drain in the tank itself that would allow you to just open up a tap and let the tank drain by gravity.

good luck!

Thanks Belegwdhel. That is what I am finding out. Airstream just called me and said there were several years where there was no under belly drain tube. He believes my unit is one.

There is no turn handle under the sink either.
So looks like we have to run the water pump with Fawcett open to completely drain.
