Twin water tank filler necks?

We have had our '66 Tradewind now for 3 months. While recovering from hip surgery I have been 'getting to know' the AS best I can with easy repairs and maintainence. We have the twin bed/dinnete model. There are 2 water tanks one each under each gaucho. They are 'tied' together with a 3/4" copper pipe along the front wall under the table. The set-up is fine with me but is this original? The only clue that it may not be is outside on the front there is a separate filler pipe for each tank and a PO used an ugly mismatched plastic filler spout for the right tank. The left tank filler is the original aluminum filler. Fortunately I located a matching filler tube to replace the plastic one. Anyway to make this a longer post I am wondering if the twin gaucho models had 2 filler tubes. Anyone know? I have checked photos of '60's AS and have not seen one.
Thanks, Neil,
