the water pump does not turn on when we open the kitchen tap.

I read somewhere it may be a micro switch but as we are new to airstreaming some help advice would be appreciated. Everything worked when we bought the rig so it's a new problem.

Look under the sink for any shutoff valves.

If no water comes out of the kitchen tap the aerator might be clogged. Try unscrewing it then turn on the tap.

It does sound like a clogging problem. The city water is at a much higher pressure than the the pump so may be able to force water through, the pump may not be able to. Is there a filter in the system anywhere? If so, does it need replacing? Just a thought.

Ok kitchen tap now working, after dismantling the tap changing the cartridge nothing. Then we un hooked the tap and water came out of the pipe under the sink. So we realized h pipes are good. Next re attached the pipe without the tap on and water shot out, next step tap back on no water argh.... Then we dismantled the pull out hose on the tap and low and behold there is a tiny little filter inside the hose which was gumped p so the water flow was restricted and not enough to push open the valve inside. Tap. Problem solved. Of course it could have been fixed in 5 mins had we realized this little filter was there. Live and learn I guess.
