sterilizing water lines.

Due to the crud build up in the plumbing, the offensive odours, and a lack of blind faith, I need to sterilize the water lines. This is not a problem, I have access to medical grade non toxic disinfectants that make chlorox look like a mouthwash. What is puzzling me is how to introduce it to the nastiest area - the water inlet pipe, at the rear. This is without cap, and crud has entered, partially blocking the pipe. I gouged it out, clearing the obstruction and now wish to disinfect it, under pressure..

There must be a way to do this, but it eludes me at present - I need to find something to introduce a liquid to the flow of a hose pipe, connected to the line, so it measures disinfectant to the stream, thus cleaning the entire plumbing system.. Any ideas?

I sanitize my entire system using a bleach mix poured into the onboard fresh water tank, then turn the pump on, it will pressurize all the way out to the city water fitting (if your check valve is broken or removed) To sanitize the fitting itself I just took it loose and dunked it in a small plastic bucket of what I was using to sanitize the rest of the system with.

You need to do it in four steps:
1. Remove the crud first. Sanitizers are more effective if the crud is gone first. Use an acid type cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes.
2. The sanitizer needs to completely fill the pipes to be effective. Hook up a water hose and purge the system until all the air is removed. Bleed all deadlegs and valves.
3. You don't need to sanitize under pressure if all the air is removed first. Just mix the sanitizer and water in a bucket and use a siphon to introduce it to the piping system. Use a hose on the outlet side of the plumbing system to control the flow rate. If the bucket is above the highest point in the plumbing system and the outlet hose is at ground level it should flow through the system ok if there aren't any open faucets. Let the sanitizer sit for the the time period as directed.
4. Flush with clear water.
