Replacing the low point water drain valves

My trailer is safely in my sisters driveway leaking fresh water onto the driveway. The low point (hot and cold) drains are leaking. I do not like "butterfly" valve type valve since the "wings" are pressed on and prone to slipage. Has anyone replaced them with ball valves or some other type that will work better?

I recently replaced mine with Shark Bite brand ball valves. If you're not familiar with them, they simply "plug'" in. In other words you cut your Pex water lines so that an inch of it inserts into the Shark Bite ball valve, instructions enclosed. You're done!! I am amazed they don't leak,... but they don't. They are pricey, about 20 bucks apiece. Quick, easy and seem to be a quality item. Easy to operate with a nice lever.

Good tip on the low point valves - how about the fresh water drain valve? That one worries me every time I use is - cheap nylon will break easily.

Pat,
I have had that one freeze. No the valve but the water directly behind the valve froze. She did not drain until I stopped and the heat was raised up to 70 in the trailer.
