Replacing plumbing lines

I've actually started to take out the cabinets to epose all the plumbing. If you were going to replace all the lines what would be the best type of line to use. I was told by someone I should home depot-ize the whole system so it will be easier to work on. And I'm talking about putting in CPVC with regular home fixtures.........Is this a bad idea??????

PEX tubing with brass, copper or plastic fittings are the current materials used. Copper was used for years and still can be used if you know what you are doing, but will not take a freeze very well and has been mostly replaced with PEX.

Although PVC or CPVC is incredibly easy to use and very inexpensive, it should not be used in a travel trailer or RVMH due to the flex and movement. Also, it is a brittle piping that will break easily if something should strike it. It is meant to be protected in stud walls, attics or buried in the ground.

Fortunately, trailers use standard residential plumbing fixtures on 4 inch centers. You can spend as little or as much as you want to. No need to go to an RV store for any of these. Hit the Lowes, Home Depot or other DIY stores. Moen was and is still used today. American Standard, Price Pfister, Delta and too many more to list, all make quality products.
