Repair or replace tank??
I have a 77 excella CB that has a leak in the freshwater tank. How easy is it to repair the tank? What is the cost of a new tank? And finally where can I get the tank? I've looked at airstream parts store and can't find the tank anywhere. It's a large tank with a square cutout in center.
Thanks in advance for answers and help.

You're probably better off replacing the tank at that age. The next crack won't be far behind. Try Inland RV or Silver Trailer Supply. Note that it might take a road trip to pick up, because the freight on that tank will kick your assets to the curb.

Thanks for the info. I will need to check with Inland or Out of Door Mart for the correct tank. My tank is almost square shaped whith a square cut out in the center (Think square doughnut).

Interesting. Can you post a photo of your square donut tank? I wonder if yours has been replaced prior.

Coastalview, that is the tank. Thanks for the post. Any idea of the cost of the tank?

One Less probe connection
CoastalView,
I got the same replacement tank, but it only has 4 probe connections vs 5 originally, what did you do to compensate?

Joe, I remember that issue. One probe that isn't in the same vertical alignment is for ground. I ended utilizing the probes for all but the full circuit.
Easily identified when its full while filling.
Hope that helps.
