Reliable Tank Monitor ?

I have a 30gal fresh water tank behind/under the floor of my 67 Caravel
It is enclosed in a galvanized box. I was hoping to find a sensor similar to SeeLevel. It appears that I have too much metal around the tank. Any alternative?

I wrapped my pan with 1" polystyrene boards and taped the seams on my 72 Sovereign, worked well.

I think SeeLevel gives some guidance on this. My stick on circuits were close to the metal frame rails. I used a stick on rubber sheeting to insulate them from the metal interference. They have worked flawlessly for me.

Another option would be to cut an opening in the sheet metal where the sensor mounts.

I have given this some consideration. Yesterday I went to my local marine store and they have an in tank gauge that is very simple. Considering it for it simplicity.

Our '64 Overlander has a gauge that allows you to see the water in a glass tube. I'm wondering if this was common. It was originally under the bed next to the tank and was hard to see, so I moved it out and added some protection against accidental damage.

Our tank is under the trailer. I have a 30gal grey and 30 gal fresh on either side of the axle encased in a galvanized box. I do not have a black tank only a compostable toilet which really works well
