Pressure Regulator

I just spent the better part of the afternoon replacing my pressure regulator at the water inlet. We have had very low pressure from the curbside hookup and I was sure that the culprit was the regulator. We had been using the on-board pump to boost the pressure - simultaneously drawing from the tank. Once the job was completed I began to examine the suspect regulator and found that the intake screen was jammed with trash - obviously the cause of the low pressure! I'm reporting this, with egg on my face, in the hopes of saving someone else the pita of changing the regulator - and the $39.50 cost of a new one.

Thumbs up Thank you for your post!

My wife and I just picked up our first Airstream and the pressure isn't what it should be. No leaks anywhere. In fact, I turned off the city water, left the hose connected and hours later went to disconnect at the trailer and it had held pressure. When a faucet is initially turned on the pressure is great, but quickly bleeds down to a trickle. I think you may have pointed me in the right direction. Thanks.
