Polybutylene grey tubing OD?

Howdy all,

I have a leak in a tee fitting on the cold water line to the lavatory sink. It looks like 5/16" OD. I don't have calipers with me so I was hoping someone could confirm that so I can order a replacement tee.

I have the "less than wonderful" grey polybutylene tubing...

Thanks

Mike

Lowes sells "alligator" fittings that will seal on polybutylene tubing, and then you can use any style fitting you need. I used them when replacing a connection between copper faucet risers and polybutylene service pipes. At that time I was unable to find polybutylene fittings.

Thanks Al. Found the fittings online. Just can't verify the outside diameter so I suspect I'll order 5/16 and 3/8 before I cut out the old crimped tee.

Someday I'll replace it all with PEX...
