Has anyone tried to replace the black plastic retaining strap that holds the water inlet cap?

Mine broke recently, so I have to make sure to store the cap in a safe place where I won't lose it when the city water hose is attached.

Is it possible to purchase a replacement strap and reattach it to the fitting or does the entire fitting need to be replaced?

Any info would be appreciated.

Howdy.. there is a 'loop' end and I just replaced one by stretching it over the fitting.

MY original strap didn't have a loop end. Instead the strap comes out of the fitting and connects to the cap.

I didn't think about possibly finding a replacement cap that does have a loop end on the strap.

Where did you find the replacement strap?
