pex crimping

I am redoing my plumbing right now and had a question. I am using pex tubing with the copper crimp rings. Should I just crimp down with the tool once, or should I crimp down more than once??? Thanks!

Buy the Go/NoGo gauge and you'll never need to wonder.

After saying that, if you crimp it and the gauge says it's no good, you need to adjust the crimper, not recrimp it.

I hold the crimp a few seconds...imagining the copper is being set better with time in the 'press'
Like diamonds.

Imagine is the key word

Yeah, it gives the copper molecules time to form more atomic bonds. I like to think good thoughts, I feel that aids the bonding process.
