Overlander '73/no Fresh water tank

I am a first time RV owner. Not knowing much about RV's I was happy with the fact it is in great shape in and outside. What I have come to realize is they changed the RV to only excepting water from the outside. Lines have been cut, flex pipe has been put in and I do not know where the water tank is located or what it looks like. I don't have an owners manual to go by. Can anybody please tell me what the dimensions are for this type of tank, where I can get a replacement, and where does it go? JPG pics are great also.

Thanks

Your fresh water tank should be about 45 gallons in capacity, and mounted between the frame rails just ahead of the front axle. The chrome-looking cover on the curbside of your coach, usually directly under the 120 volt outlet cover, should be the access hatch for fresh water fill. It is locked by a key.
