Original External Water Tank fill cap for 69
Hi there...
Just curious if anyone may know where there may be an old parts source for finding an original aluminum threaded water tank fill cap for my 69 23' Safari.
Before i go on, yes i know they are being reproduced, but i really don't want a shiny new one with a knurled finish. The original one was used from 65 to 69 i believe, as in 1970 i think they went to the "drawer style" fill with a key lock. I am trying to keep this trailer as original as humanly possible.
They can't be THAT rare i don't think.... An Airstream salvage yard would be the perfect place for me to find this, but at this point i don't know where one is, or if one even exists.
