not enough hot water from kitchen sink faucet

Our '64 Safari kitchen sink has a hot and cold faucet..We can get good pressure from the cold water side, but for some reason, the hot water side just comes out so softly and in a small stream..any suggestions? It uses a 3/8" copper tubing

Sounds like either a restriction in the line, such as a kink in the copper tubing, or the faucet is partly blocked. Both should be easy to find and fix.
Do all the hot water faucets have this problem, or just the one in the galley?
If it is only the one in the galley, check the line from where it seperates from the other hot water feed lines. Follow it to the galley, making sure there are no sharp bends, pinches, or kinks. If this is all good, and you have good pressure up to the faucet, you have a blockage in the faucet. A new faucet is relatively inexpensince, and not hard to change out.

I agree with terry, but before you replace the faucet, remove the hot water valve stem. I've seen the washer disenegrated and be in pieces plugging the hole in the seat. A simple cleaning and washer replacement does the trick.
If you don't know the brand of faucet, take the stem to home depot or lowes ; they have replacement stems and washers.
