New water pump. YES!!!

Replaced the Airstream "quality" water pump with a Flojet VFlo 5.0. What a difference. Quiet. A whisper at normal flow rates. Flushes the toilet bowl clean with plenty of flow. Wasted so much water to get the old pump to rinse the bowl. Did I say quiet? No off and on hammering. What a joy.

I replaced mine a couple of weeks ago with a SHURflo 4008-101-E65 3.0 Revolution Water Pump.
Very easy project with immediate benefits. New pump when running has a hum that I can only hear if I open the compartment door and stick my head in. No more banging and clanging or leaks. Pressure is higher and consistent based on demand.

That is one of the more expensive pumps, $280 to $315. Some reviews in 2013 on Amazon state when the battery charger boosts to 15 volts for bulk charge the pump's intelligence doesn't allow the pump to function. My charger only goes to 14.2v. Have you observed any issues with the pump when charger is in bulk mode? Others state if the battery charge goes below 12.5v the pump does run at full capacity.

Is yours model 42755-0092?

Thanks

Kelvin

Did you do the change yourself? Any pictures and pricing/ordering info you can share?

Got mine at Camping World. Model R4426143A $199.99. My converter boosts to 14.4 volts. I will try running the pump at below 12.5 volts and see what happens. Thanks for the "Heads Up". Now I'm not so happy.

Just reading a negative post here is no reason to not be happy if you are satisfied with the performance of your pump.

I would like to upgrade my older Flojet. Compared to the OP results on noise it sounds like a good replacement since it uses the same quick disconnect fittings. Should be drop in replacement which is needed since my pump is in a horrendous location.

Did you swap out your pump, yet?

Tagging in, as I would like to look at changing my pump out also. Not sure the best one to get (where to get it) or what's involved in doing it. So any input on this would be great.
Thanks

My original Shurflo 205-213 failed. Took me a minute to find it under the closet floor. I've ordered the 4008-101-E65 from Amazon for $65. It has great reviews, but I will report back once received and installed.

On my last trip it starting developing a loud pulsing noise and pressure seems to be down a bit. When I have the time I will pull the hoses and recheck for leaks etc.

Mine came today and was an easy swap. Works just fine, plenty of pressure. Not whisper quiet but not too loud either.
