New Leak Under Trailer '94 Excella 34'

My 94 Excella 34 sprung a leak when I turned on the water this Spring. Water is dripping from both ends of the square metal box which is located underneath the trailer between the center and rear axles. Both ends of the box have an access panel that is blocked by a heavy foam strip. I can't tell what is in the box but I'm guessing it has the fresh water tank and the plumbing that crosses over. Both water system drains and the tank drain come out of the box. I didn't fill the fresh water tank, so I don't think the water tank broke and I don't have any apparent leaks visible on the inside. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Could use the help.

I have the exact same problem in my 1989 32 ft Excella. Have you found out any possible solutions? I eliminated all internal lines and examined area where drain valves are located. Water leak is constant drip from both ends of tank cover.

We had the same problem yesterday. I read up on it and think it may be that the low point valves that were opened for winterizing may still be open. Since I came across this potential solution late last night I haven't tried it yet. Hope it works for all of us that probably had someone else winterize our trailers and didn't know of the valves.

On our 1998 Excella, we had a drip and it was caused by the adapter that goes between the tanks and the valves has gotten old and brittle, it's made out of a white plastic, which has just aged. The replacements you buy now are made of ABS like the rest of the plumbing. If you can see a white piece of plastic between the valve and the tanks, you should be able to see the cracked plastic too.

In addition to this part, you might also need a new o-ring, which is in the valve rebuild kit.

I gave up. Took to dealer for repair. I worked back through the fresh water tank to isolate the leak in the hot water side. Possibly an accidental nail from a bathroom flooring re-do. DH

Tell the dealer that you'd like to find out what caused the leak. Perhaps, you could ask them to take a couple of digital pictures and post them on this thread and then, we all be wiser!

Flooring guys shot my hot water line under the floor , full of staples.

I'd want to make sure that there are no more staples projecting out near the water lines.

And I found our source to be a loose fitting on a water pipe near the water pump under the closet floor hatch (if that makes any sense.)

I mis-measured and drilled a 3/16" hole in the bottom of a potable water tank.

Does anyone know if there is a way of patching the hole (similar to a car tire) from the exterior without removing the tank?

If not, is there a better place on the forum to post this question where it would bet more exposure?

Chuck, get a larger stainless steel screw and run it in the hole.
