Need to clean fresh water tank?

How do I clean my fresh water tank? I get some fine black sediment from time to time coming through the fixtures.

Occasional "fine black sediment" sounds like the rubber hoses are deteriorating - any sediment in the tank usually stays in the tank.

To truly clean the FW tank its a drop the tank chore.

Black stuff is coming from the pump. If you over sanitize your tank and lines, the "Clorine" in bleach will start eating rubber. 1 gallon per thousand to sanitize. 1/10 that to kill the critters in the water.
