Need a faucet

Our bathroom faucet/shower sprayer needs to be replaced..are there alternatives that will work if we cannot find a O.E.M. replacement?

FWIW There are replacements available, but in the vintage of your trailer the fauucets were not typically on a 4 inch center like the ones used today. The faucet was considered an apratment type and is slightly smaller than normal. The hand spray is just a normal black kitchen sprayer.

You will need to go to an RV store to get another piece of junk like what was originally installed. Unless you are full timing, they get so little use (compared to that of a house) that they will last for many, many years.

On the other hand, a Moen single control shower unit has a trim piece which will just cover the holes from the original plumbing. You will need to rerout some of the plumbing lines if you go this route.

Hi Folks

Since I have just done the homework on finding a replacement shower faucet for my '68 Caravel I thought I'd pass along the info.
The faucet is not the typical 4" center bath, but rather 3 3/8" centers which are found on older bath/clawfoot tubs.
I have found an identical quality replacement for this faucet.
It's around 75 bucks. Chromed brass with 1/2" pipe thread outlet for handheld shower.
DO NOT go to an rv store for this. It is not worth $150+ unless you have extra money that you don't need in which case please send it directly to me..

Email me for specifics
