I have a 1962, and my filler looks just like the one in the photo. I have totally gutted the trailer and are not intending to reuse my filler. I will look for it this weekend. If you want it and are willing to pay for the postage you can have it.

Ours was inside a door on the streetside of the coach. It had a galvanized cap over a galvanized pipe that led to the tank.

I would think the GT is the same as the filler that came on the bambi.

I was able to find the al ring that goes around the filler pipe. My ring is the one in the first picture. If you need it, I can send it on, I won't be needing it.

I will take a pic tomorrow and try to post one. We have a 1963 Bambi and our fill neck is original. It is somewhat similar to the one posted above for the 1963 Globetrotter, but ours has more of an upward angle, I think. I just looked through all my pictures and didn't see one that would be close enough to actually *see*.

Original fill neck for 63 Bambi

Hello,

We have a 1963 Bambi that hubby did a frame off restoration. We have just about all original parts (except upgraded electrical...) so if you need any other pics or more details let us know!

Your best bet to find one of these rare little birds is to find someone parting out a 1963 or so trailer. Our 1955 Flying Cloud fill neck is sort of similar so my guess many trailers around a 10 year vintage would have the same type. You might check at the various dealers that have "old" trailers... I know I emailed a number of them I found online and found one of the kitchen knobs we were missing! If you have the original pressure water tank ~ don't know what you think, but we love ours!

BTW, here is a link to hubby's thread on the restoration of our Bambi. He has lots of pictures and directions of how-to. Take a look! http://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/...mbi-17925.html
