Mystery water drip curbside between wheels

Hello,
I am new to the airstream community as my wife and I recently purchased a 2015 flying cloud 25fb. We are now on our second camping trip and had a likely newbie issue.
After hooking up the water, a drip/stream appeared from between the curbside/canopy side wheels. I looked under there and the stream is coming from what looks like a hole in the tank. The hole looks like it is supposed to be there as it is smooth and round. The trailer might not be perfectly level but it is pretty close. If I shut off the water hose the leak stops.

Is the pressure to high at this park maybe? Something else?
Thanks for the help.
Steve

Sounds like the pressure regulator or relief valve is bleeding off.
Do you know what the city water pressure is?

Can you actually see a hole or might it be leaking from the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater or a leak in the drain for the hot water heater and the water is running down.

Thanks for the responses

It looks like the water is clearly coming from a hole. The hole looks like it's supposed to be there. I don't know what orlando city water pressure is and the bib is on/off only so I can't change it. I am running the heat pump but if I disconnect the water the dripping stops in a few minutes. If the trailer is not level could that cause the dripping. It fills up a large pan in about 30 minutes.
Thanks for the help.

Can you get to it to take and then post a photo. We might be more likely to be able to help if we can see exactly where you're talking about.

I don't know if the heat pump causes condensation, but that is where the a/c expelled its condensation on my 25'

But that does sound more like a plumbing issue.

This is not a real help because the location you describe does not have any obvious water piping on my 25fb. Clearly you have something leaking under pressure. I would get inside the trailer and look in the locker under the closet, where you will find a lot of piping. Then look under your sinks. Do you get leakage if you have the water system pressurized with only you water pump switch on and no city water? Also look under the water heater from the outside storage locker or under the bedroom wardrobe. I suppose it could also be in the city water inlet piping but I do not know how to access that.

When water gets into banana wrap fiber glass gets wet stays wet in time rots floor in that section. It happened on my AS as water heater drains onto floor then into belly, I found section in closet removed rotted section and wet fiber glass, another good design that AS has.

You have a leak in the water system if it stops when you disconnect from the city. It is not a city pressure issue as your trailer has a pressure regulator between the city and the trailer water system.

To confirm it is a leak in the water system put some water in the freshwater tank and run the pump. If the pump shut off and then cycles again while no water faucet is on you have a leak.

If you are lucky the last person to have drained the system may have left one of the drain valves open.

It's a brand-new vehicle. Doesn't sound normal to me.

Have you tried calling the dealer you bought it from (and sending him a photo)?

Mystery water drip curbside between wheels

By the way, if you could turn the water bib down, it would not lower the pressure. It would only lower the volume of water. As soon as the water is shut off in the coach, the pressure will go back to the pressure provided by the city. In order to lower the city pressure you must use a pressure regulator. Your trailer most likely has one built in, but that does not protect your water hose from excessive city pressure. It is a good idea to use a pressure regulator at the hose bib to protect your hose as well as your trailer.

Pics

Here is a pic. You can see a drip forming of you look close. That is the hole. Hopefully this upload worked.
There is another identical hole on the other end of the tank.

Sorry the pic is upside down. I may need to just take back to dealer to check out after our weekend trip.

Most likely it is the water heater venting or AC condensation. Keep an eye on it but most likely nothing to worry about. You can manually vent the hot water heater so I would try that and see if the drip stops. Open your curb side compartment and look for the vent as there should be a little lever there that you can lift up and vent the water heater. Just be cautious as it can he hot.

water leak

Could it be one of the 3 (I think) drain valves used for emptying the clean water tank and plumbing? Either missing or opened?

See your nearest AS dealer, they will resolve this in no time.

Hope things tighten up for you..

The water heater relief valve vents inside the heater door and would drain directly to the outside of the trailer. To check it open the cover and see if there is any water on the face of the heater.

The AC drain is conducted to below the bottom of the trailer via a rubber tube. That tube is on the drivers side and should extend a few inches below the body.

I doubt either is the issue but check them out.

Open the bottom of the closet, the pump should be there. I have seen the connection on the output side of the pump leak because it was never tighten down at the factory. If so it would leak under city pressure.

Check that floor area for wet spots and a leak

Our stick and staple 5th wheel was totally dry until we hooked up to a local state park water system.. As it turned out there pressure was almost 100psi... I had streams of water leaks showing up at every pipe fitting and leaking out the bottom of the trailer.. Was able to tighten up most of them and piped in a pressure reducer between the water supply and our camper and the problem went away,, until all the paper/plywood cardboard under the trailer started to fall off on the trip home after getting soaked..
Love my Airstream. Sodbust..

Is the hose hooked up to the correct spot? Do the faucets work inside without the water pump turned on?
