Cool Low Water Pressure - Newbie

We are new airstream owners. We have used the airstream a couple of times and the water pressure was fine but we used it last week and the water pressure was low. We read our manual and followed the instructions but we are still having issues. We tried city water and we filled the tank and still there was no pressures.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Try taking the faucet screens out and cleaning them. That is very often the problem and may seem like low water pressure. Sometimes they get so clogged up that no water at all flows. Since it happens on both city and pump water clogged screens can well be the issue.

Thank you.

We installed a new faucet in the kitchen just a couple of weeks ago and it was working fine.

In those few weeks, silt can clog the strainers on the faucets. If you have an outside filter, it can reduce the possibility of that, but silt is so small it can get past the filter. I had to clean ours out last week and we do have an outside filter. Just use an adjustable wrench like a Channel Lock.

Some campgrounds have low water pressure and using a pressure reducer can make it even lower.

What trailer do you have, by the way?

(hint: click on User CP, then Edit Details: you can select the model and year of your trailer in there so we all see it )

Does the problem go away when you use the internal pump?

That's right. It's for when you are travelling and not hooked to city water.

Have you put some water in the tank and tried that pump system?

Well were the screens clogged in the faucets or what? Is the problem fixed?

Cool Silverstream 1974

Hi my name is Michael......I have acquired a 1974 Silverstream Trailwind 25 ft trailer from my mom and dad. Mom is 90 and dad is no longer with us and mom lives with me.

My question is i am repairing and cleaning the trailer up for travel, and I found that the trailer does not have any water pressure when connected to the city water, and no water coming out of the faucets, and toilet. Is there a pump some where that creates the pressure ? Does it make a sound ? The electrical works in the trailer works fine.

I noticed that there is a tank under one of the beds, and several faucets and outside spicket for connecting the hose. I have filled the tank under the bed and no luck in getting water to all sources

Michael

Do you have water when attached to city water?
