On another thread, user "Richard" lost the water cap to his '68 Caravel and ultimately got another through salvage from another trailer. Your best bet is probably to find another 60's trailer being "parted out" or try an A/S salvage lot.

We found one on ebay that was in better shape than our original and bought it. Don't know what yours looked like, as they vary from year to year...but if you have a picture, we can compare notes and maybe our old one would work for you. Maxwell is in storage right now, so I can't get any pics or dimensions, I'll have to search through my computer to see if I can find a pic...if you happen to have one of yours, let me know via a PM.

SK,

If I remember right, last time I saw your Overlander, that cap was a screw on aluminum cap, not a barrel plug like on Shari's pic.

I know I am of no help here but aren't they supposed to be attached with a chain so you don't lose them?

Chas

out of the ka-jillion photos I have taken I don't have a picture of the cap. Chas is right. it's a screw on type just like rluhr's. thanks for the offer!

where can I find a list of Airstream salvage yards to call?

I tried googling but didn't have much luck.

thanks!!
