hook ups for water tank , pump and tie ins

74 trade wind land yt. I got my trailer and someone decided to plumb in the beast with just land water. I want to tie in back into the water tank to have that option.

could someone explain the following.

Currently the pex pipe runs throughout and terminates at the kitchen sink. Where does the line from the pump tie into the piping?

My water holding tank has three connections. One on the bottom , one at mid section and one on the top. Am I correct in guessing that the one on the bottom is a drain down meant to have a pipe with a valve running to the hole in the floor?

what hooks to what on the other two?

What type of flex pipe is recommended that will not impart taste on the water?

Where does the check valve go the stop the city pressure from getting the pump?

where should I place a filter? or is it needed?

While I am at it any suggestions how to make it a better system?

All your questions can be answered in a "Service Manual".

Most any dealer can order that for you.

On my 71 the lower connection goes to a valve which opens the low point drain when closed it provides water to the system. The upper connections are both filling vents.

Thanks, the info on the other two tank taps helps me. I take it that the fillling vents have a stop in them, which stops the water from flowing out. I pulled out the manual, the tank runs to a T which goes to a valve ( tank Drain down valve?) and then to the pump. It then looks like two valves from the hot and cold lines to a T which is the supply line drain. It appears the cold water is the only line filtered and only at the kitchen sink. Am I correct?
