Has anyone come up with a ...

... replacement or work around for the 90 degree city water hose connector? Looks as though the original connector is made of PB.

I'm refurbishing a 31ft 1982 Excella. As a temporary fix I wrapped some flexible insulation tape around it and put a hose clip on it. It dripped a bit but that didn't bother me because the drip doubled as an aide-memoire to turn off the water when I'd finished working on it for the day. Now the wretched fitting has split and it's leaking gallons so it'll have to done now.

I've searched forums and looked on line without success and called a couple of dealers but they haven't returned my calls.

Attached is a photo of what I want to replace.

Thanks in advance,

Norm

It look like a drop ear elbow for attaching shower heads to walls. Availiable at Home Depot or anyplace that sells plumbing parts

Actually Thalweg I was just about to post a:"don't bother answering" post because I cut the old one off and when I saw what it was realized that I already had a brass 1/2" FIP x 1/2" FIP drop ear and some 1/2" MIP x 3/8" nylon fishtails. I'll replace all the tubing to the pressure regulator while I'm at it. It was on the "to do" list anyway.
