Fresh water tank install from scratch

I'm purchasing a new fresh water tank for my 1972 Overlander and would love to avoid multiple trips to the store getting all the parts to set it up. As unlikely, as this is, I was hoping to find some guidance on the matter here and reduce to trips to, say, three or less.

There is no existing plumbing, hoses, or anything. It's a clean slate. I'm mostly concerned with how to set up the fresh water fill line, the pump, the drain valve, and any other fittings I need to worry about. Once I have a way to get water out of the tank, I think I can figure out the rest of the plumbing. Thanks for the help!

I ended up ordering a "kit" from Amazon which includes a tank and all fitting, hoses, etc. Can also buy as a package including pump and strainer. Just need to add a fill/vent fitting from VTS.
