Fresh Water leaks only when pump is on (99 Safari)

Our freshwater tank started leaking, but only when we turn the water pump on. We're not sure where to start looking for the problem. Any help would be great.

Can you tell where the leak is? This will help you isolate the source. Chances are you have a cracked line after the pump, but where does the water come out?

My guess would be on the line between the pump and check valve,and as it runs down it appears to leak from tank.Dave

Great - do we need to remove the tank to check the hose or can it be done from above?

The tank seems to leak from 5 different places - I hope it's just a hose

I know nothing about the newer trailers,but the pump should be exposed,under a cabinet,in a closet,somewhere,if you don`t know where it is at turn it on and listen.Dave

There doesn't seem to be any leaks in any of the hoses.

Is the freshwater tank pressurized when the pump comes on? It seems to be forcing water out. Sitting idle, it has no leaks.

The tank should not be pressurized.
Your pump is located in the curb side closet. Lift the board in the bottom of the closet to access the pump. I once had a leak at the pump that was easily fixed. The pump body itself had loosened up and was leaking.

You may have a cross water line leaking. I had the same problem with my trailer. It was not the tank but a water line that ran through the tank pan.
