fresh water drain valve location '72 globetrotter?

Hi, I'm a greenhorn AS owner (1972 21' globetrotter) and new member to this forum who inherited a number of issues from the previous owner of my trailer. I am trying to locate the drain for FW system but the manual seems incorrect. It claims the drain is under a panel in the galley area, but after ripping up the carpet, no false floor panel seems evident. The only way I can see to empty the water in the tank is to turn on the water pump and pump it out. Is there a gravity fed drain valve that will easily drain the tank for me? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers.
Steve

You should see two or three valves in a recess in the floor under the galley cabinet (under the sink). Open those valves up (use trial and error to figure out which one drains what) and you should see the water drain from the underside of the trailer.

thanks for the reply. Someone must have replaced the floor and covered up that recessed drain valve area, since there is no panel with access under the galley cabinet. Does anyone have a pic handy of the area in question? Worth a thousand words they say...

If you can't find the drain valve for your fresh water tank in the galley, try looking underneath the trailer. Look for a hose or small pipe protruding from the belly pan underneath the galley. This will help you locate the valves and you may even find a hatch underneath to gain access.

There should be no access panel, just a small cutout in the plywood floor. If you look under the sink, you should see two or three red handled valves (similar to the hose bibs on your house). Not only will one of these drain your tank, but the others are tied to you water lines that run the length of your trailer alongside the furnace ductwork. So, find your water pipes and follow them until you find the valves, as a previous owner may have moved them from their original position. You'll probably find a couple of other drain valves at the rear for the bathroom.

Found the valves! they were moved to a new spot between the FW tank and the pump under the settee across from the galley. Thanks for the heads up.
