Fresh water connections don’t look right

The water connections don’t look right to me. I have a short section of piping with a filter out of the fresh water tank that does not have a connection. Look to me like I’m missing a line to the pump. I have a 19 Bambi.

That should go to the inlet side of your pump. What’s the black piece behind that open connector? Is it connected to anything?

It’s this. Doesn’t look right either. Should that piece come off and get connected to the outlet on the water tank? What would this be used for?

Is that black connection a sensor for a SeeLevel unit? The cable looks like a telephone jack cable but I can’t tell for sure.

I believe the phone jack is for the monitoring system. The black elbow on the pump is what doesn’t look right to me.

The last owner probably put that barbed hose connector on the last time they winterized the plumbing system and never took it off before you bought it. They would have connected a couple feet of hose to the barb and sucked rv antifreeze straight out of a gallon jug and pumped it through the pipes. Just take the 90 barb off the pump, push the pipe and connector from the fresh water tank down to meet up with the pump and screw it on.

Thanks smithcreek, that make sense as there is a small section of tube on the top of the tank and there is red liquid on that elbow. Now on to flushing the lines. Thanks for the help. This is all new to us.
