I have a 1988 Excella 1000 and a 3/4" bolt head (6 point) will fit. Weld a nut in the end of the bolt and you can use the 3/4" head to back out the main tank drain plug. This is not the same thing as the drain petcock that is located behind the wheels for winterizing. To access you have to remove the cover plate on the tank cover but not the complete cover. My plug was cracked and causing a slow gentle leak. Also had to cut away a small piece of the main tank cover to get the plug to drop out when unbolted. Probably the first time plug has ever been out since built in 1988. You can see the tank cover plate swung out of the way in the first photo. Am having a hard time finding a replacement plug. Someone said part #600-155 will work but can't seem to locate any part that fits this replacement. Will probably have to try and repair the old cracked one with super glue.
