City Water Connection to Potable Tank?

Our 25'CCD has the city water connection on the street side and the potable water tank fill on the curb side. I would ike to connect a valve in between the city water connection and the potable wate rtank so that it can be filled without disconnecting. I believe there is even a blanked off Tee on the city water side that could be used.

Has anyone made this modification?

I'm not sure of your plumbing configuration, but all you should have to do is bypass the water pump. My trailer came with a solenoid valve called the 'auto fill' and automatically shuts off when the fresh tank is 3/4 full.

I suppose to make it simple, I would place a tee off the garden hose (potable water approved) and then attach a hose to that outside tee running to the tank and when needed, activate it, let it run through a bit and fill the fresh tank?
