"Cheater Hose"

While we were camping at Rondeau PP last week a fellow airstreamer had a "cheater" hose to top up his fresh water tanks. As many of you know PPs in Ontario don't have individual water connections, but rather common water taps throughout the campground. The cheater hose was a piece of rubber piping which had a connector at one end to attach the fresh water hose and the other end was free to slip over the faucet (no threads on it to attach). This end was clamped onto the faucet with an alligator clamp.

My question - what size hose do I need to use to slip over the faucet - would 5/8" work? I forgot to take note when I borrowed his.

Thanks in advance.

hose

You can also buy these. Called Water Thief or Hose Thief ... something like that. I ordered one from Camping World. Soft rubber end fits over a faucet that may not have the male threaded end.
