Caulk for fresh water tank

What kind of caulk would you use on a fresh water tank to seal an access port on the top of the tank?

How is the access port going to be installed, how does it seal, and how big is it? Picture if you have one.

The port is 4" in diameter, and screws hold it to the plastic water tank.

I went to a "Pet Store" that sold Fish and Fish Paraphernalia (like "PetSmart). They had a Sealant that was for Aquariums, that was "Safe" for Fish (which apparently are more sensitive than Humans) . . . it worked.

As above a good food grade silicone bead will work well to seal it since it won't be under pressure. Amazon is a good source, hardware store won't have food grade silicone. Stainless screws.
