black cold water
I have black water from the kitchen faucet (Moen) for about a cup , and then clear. this is only occasional, and is from the kitchen faucet only. The trailer has only PVC and copper lines. (31 ft Excella). Any suggestions. Russ

It's from your charcoal in line water filter that's under the sink.

Is there a cartridge carbon filter in the line? It may have deteriorated and be dumping granulated carbon into the water stream. If so, I'd suggest replacing it or bypassing with a length of pipe to replace the filter.

We have the same issue on our 1992 Classic/Excella. I looked at the plumbing for the charcoal filter and it appears that it connects only to the cold water spout at the sink (not the hot & cold water faucet). The "black" certainly looks like charcoal but I can't understand how it comes out of the faucet. There must be some plumping that I don't see or understand. I'll look again.
Good luck solving your problem. Please post here if you find a solution and I'll do the same.

A few days from now we'll be using our trailer again (we store it off-site) and I'll take some pictures of my setup so you identify the filter I'm referring to.

Could be deteriorating seals in the faucet.

black cold water
Thank you for the input. There is no filter within site any where, So-- I have run chlorinated water (1 1/4 cup per 40 gallons) through ( about 40 gallons) and it has cleared up for now. I will be running Camco water tank purifier through it next and see if that solves the problem permantly, I will let you know. Take Care
