backpressure valve city h2o

Need help,
how do I remove non working city h2o backpressure valve
UNDER SINK and behind shower IN VERY TIGHT AREA .I have read about the outside vales, is this the best solution for my 76 globe trotter.Maybe a pro plumber?

Welcome to The Forum. Are they not working as in they won't let water flow? If that's the problem hook up to water and try tapping them with a small hammer - it may loosen them up.

To take them out - are you dealing with original copper lines...?
