autofill

i bought a 93 land yacht legacy last october. i love it. but i need to know what the 'autofill' setting on my test panel actually does. my manual does not refer to it in any way. what is 'autofill?' how do i use it if at all? is it a good thing? if its not described in the manual shud i ignore it? help!

Autofill is an option on MH's. When you hook up to water & turn it on, It will fill up your fresh water tank. Mine stops at 3/4 full. As long as Autofill is turned on, your tank will stay at the set level. I like to use this feature at rallies where you have to daisy chain the water hoses together. I'll turn on autofill at night before going to bed. Turn it off in the morning. this way I have full water pressure (at least what the pump puts out) in the morning when others may be trying to shower. The pressure drops when multiple users are tied into the same water spigot.

'autofill' when on will fill your fresh water holding tank 3/4th full and then shut off if it is working....

so...i hook up the city water connection, turn on the autofill function and when it reaches 3/4 full it will shut of until the level drops below 3/4 and it turns back on again. is that the way it works?
