Adding tank system to '55 FC

My 55 Flying Cloud has no on-board fresh water system, just a city water hookup. I am adding a poly tank under the bed, along with a 12 volt pump and strainer. I plan to use a non-vented stainless steel filler so will need a separate vent. I hate to make any more shell penetrations than necessary. Is there any reason I should not vent the tank into the bathroom/shower area? This would provide a visual indication if the tank is overfilled without causing any damage and avoid adding another shell penetration.

Just be sure that the vent opening is placed high enough so that water sloping back and forth in the tank never is able to get high enough to come out the vent. Also the vent must run with a constant down slope back to the tank so any water that does get into it drains back, and does not become a plug.

Are you going to fill the tank from inside? Most outside fillers have a vent hose connection to begin with, but it is unclear what your filler is like and where it is.

Fill will be outside.
Something like this:

Most marine style fillers do not have integral vents, but look nicer in my opinion.
