'76 Overlander Shower/Copper Tubing

I need to replace part of the copper tubing going to the shower faucet on my 1976 Airstream Overlander. Most of the copper tubing in the Airstream is 1/2 inch; however, a section I had to repair under the sick was 5/16. Before I remove the section behind the shower, I want to determine the size of the tubing so I can buy the correct fiitings. I have been told that all of the smaller tubing behind the shower is 3/8. Does anyone know whether or not the copper tubing going to the shower faucet is 5/16 or 3/8?

Thanks

Greetings! Are you replacing the section with copper? I would convert it over to PEX. You are going to save a ton of time, money and weight. Lowes now carries it!

Yes, I have been making all repairs by replacing the copper line with PEX. The PEX line is great and easy to work. There are 1/2" and 3/8" quick connectors for PEX that just slip on the copper tube and the PEX line. This is convenient and easy. However, there is not a fitting for the 5/16" and I will have to use a copper compression fitting if the tube behind the shower is 5/16". I'm hoping that it's 3/8".
