7/16 OD pipe?

I have removed 3 of the pipes from under the sink area. When I did so, I assumed that they were all 3/8ths, 1/4 and 1/2 inch. One of the pipes though, that leads to the shut off valve just below the sink seems to be 5/16ths ID or 7/16ths OD. Finding a fitting to go from copper to PEX has been a nightmare. I've replaced everything else successfully with PEX and sharkbite fittings. Any suggestions? If I had known it was such a freakish size I wouldn't have cut it out

It only became a freakish size, when it froze.

Those sizes do not exist, until copper tubing freezes.

Best you replace any and all copper tuubing that has a goofy size. You will also find that the sweat solder fittings, which also stretched, are now weak, and are great for failures, when you least expect it.

Replace all the tubing that is off size,as it will save you much grief, down the road.

i actually think someone replaced that length of pipe with refrigeration tubing...but I think I will just take it out to make my life easier...

I have a 64 here with a fair amount of 7/16 copper tubing. This one definitely froze. As Andy said, there is no 7/16th size.
