A little off topic here, but I found some old pics of the aftermarket installation on my 25' Safari.

I couldn't upload pics on the PM so I am sending them to you this way.

On one of the pics you can see the one of the outside sun screens attached.
I had them made for all the windows, except for the front. Very helpful to cut the heat especially the rear wrap around, which had no window tinting from the factory.

Please be aware even after you install some or all of the awnings, any temperatures above 100 degress the difference is minimal. The single air conditioner simply cannot keep up. Good Luck

What am I seeing in photo 3. It appears the awning fabric is installed way to high, and is not protected by the aluminum cover. If this is the case, that material isnt going to be very secure, nor last too long. The awning fabric should never be seen while in the rolled up, store position. Am I not seeing this properly?

I agree, Atomic. Looks like they installed the awning on the rain drip rail.

Wait. No his awning is correct. That’s a cover he had made to cover the two top windows. Very clever!

When I had zip-dee install anins on cub side road side and rear they were using silicone but I always have a tube of parbond aluminum color in AS for need, they stated did not no of it but used my awnings and they were impressed w/it, but silicone lots less money. I also have sikaflex but not handy to keep in AS as takes caulk gun resulting larger mass to stow, both tube and gun plus gets hard if not using for awhile results in loss of cash spent.

We are chillin with friends at the Jersey shore. Doing the Naches Trace drive then down to Key West for a couple months.
We road school full time. Exploring the civil war next year... Gettysburg then Smithsonian in the summer . Whew....

Atomic, the fabric you see is a snap on removable black fabric sun screen that I had made to cover the outside of all the windows. Phoenix Valley sun. In this picture the screen is covering the two (I know it's the wrong term for them) elliptical port windows above the kitchen/lounge windows. Actually none of the awning fabric is showing underneath the metal awning protective shield. Didn't help much keeping the heat out but was installed correctly. :-)
