Zip Dee Awning Screws

The top screws that hold the bracket on my ZiP Dee have stripped. Is there a recommended way to repair?

a better fastener

I am a big proponent of Rivnuts. You might call Zip Dee too. They are very helpful.

They are pretty easy to get.

There also is an exploded view which makes them easy to find

Because of my own carelessness, leaving my zipdee deployed, during a popup thunderstorm. In which the rafter arms were ripped off and throw 10 feet over and beyond the trailer. Fortunately, although being a small guy I was able to corral the zipdee and get it rolled up.
Unfortunately the force of that trip over the trailer pulled all the rivets. I went back with larger stainless steel screws and plenty of caulk on the threads and under each bracket and fitting.I also had to drill each hole in the brackets to except the larger screws.
They dont show and I have had no leaks as of yet.
\Good LUCK
