Zip Dee Awning

Greetings Chitown Airstreamers!

Zip Dee is actually just located around the corner from you. Their contact information is as follows:

Toll Free phone (800)-338-BEST (2378)
In Illinois 847-437-0980
Fax 847-437-7064

Mailing Address: 96 Crossen Ave,
Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007

Their web address is as follows:

Zip Dee Awnings

When I had the Zip Dee awnings installed on my Overlander two years ago, Ace Fogdall RV in Cedar Falls, Iowa handled both the ordering and installation (Ace Fogdall is Iowa's Airstream dealer and is VERY Vintage Friendly). I was present when the Ace Fogdall technician performed the measurements, and it was a precision task that took the better part of 45 minutes for the three awnings - - the factory was contacted several times to verify that the necessary measurements were being taken. The installation was and is perfect - - and I am totally satisfied with both the awnings and instalation.

Zip Dee Awning

RE: Cost of Awnings

The installation was two years ago, and this is strictly by memory as all of the documentation is stored in the trailer. I am fairly certain that the main curbside awning was $1,150 installed, the bathroom awning $435 installed, and the streetside bedroom awning $555 installed.

It all depends on what size you need if you have all the hardware.
I will be buying one very soon and I need everthing. You can order it through ZipDee or a local dealer. Mine will cost around $1150.00. I will install it my self. I was quoted from a local shop $1400.00 installed. It is not hard to do and if you live close you can pick it up from them.
