Contact Zip Dee and ask where the nearest dealer is to you. InlandRV sells them, I believe, but you'd be paying freight from California.

You are not TOO far from Jackson Center - if you are going to be out that way, you should be able to get it from them and they'll do the installation.

Zip Dee freight charges are from near Chicago, not California, since we have them "drop ship," directly to the purchaser.

You aren't terribly far from a high reputation dealer in Colfax, NC - Out-of-Doors Mart. There are ZipDees for SOBs and ZipDees for curved body trailers. Where you shop depends on whether you need installation too.

awnings

Most owners elect to install their Zip Dee awnings, themselves.

Detailed instructions come with each awning.

But just in case a question still remains, Zip Dee is just a 800 phone call away.

1-800-338-BEST

1-800-338-2378

Yes, even a part of their phone number states their quality.

The install is very straight forward and two people can do it in a couple of hours. You have to install 4 brackets on the trailer and put the pieces together.

I would suggest trying your ZipDee before abandoning it -- you may find it to be so endearing that you won't want to give it up. I am a FreeWheeler and travel solo, but rarely stop for the evening without deploying my ZipDee on the Overlander -- it helps to keep the sun off which helps to keep coach cooler when in areas where air conditioning is needed. The ZipDee is among the easiest to operate awnings -- I am not mechanically inclined (in fact something of a klutz) and I have traveled many nights and many thousands of miles opening my ZipDee most stops with no problems at all -- just be aware of sudden rain storms or wind storms.

Living on the We(s)t Coast, I dream of the day my Tradewind will have an awning. There's nothing better here than sitting out on a warm evening while the cooling rain falls.
