Hey, I was going throuh my paperwork last night and I found the Zip-Dee documentation. They seem to be out of Elk Grove Village, IL. That's a few miles from me. I'm gonna call them to see if parts can be purchased through them, rather than going through a middle man. If anyone is intereted, I'd be happy to post my findings.

"Pacific Blue Fancy" (actually blue & grey and blends of the two) by Sunbrella by way of Zip Dee.

I wonder why this became the prevalent Airstream fabric?
I guess Blue has been a staple of the company since way back.

I would prefer a similar Red Fancy if one existed.
I have seen few Red & Grey or Red & White stripes on RVs.

Solids are neat, but I just like to think of awnings having stripes.

Ours are black and white A&E, original equipment. They look great against the silver.

Sunbrella

4781 Splash-Spun Aquamarine/Natural

However, it has been added to the list of discontinued fabrics and is pretty hard to come by.

My 63 Overlander says it was made in Ohio but the awning may have been put on in LA where it was originally sold. They are avacodo green with a white strip. They have a bent pipe kind of arms. Our 77 Soveriegn came with a blue Zip Dee awning. The brown Zip Dee awnings are usually found on the limited model line.

Our '95 30' Classic Limited has all-around maroon, solid, that blends with the maroon exterior trim. She looks good when set up with all awnings extended We still aren't up to snuff setting up and letting down the 20' main awning, so unless we are having a long stay at one place, we avoid putting it up. Also, it seems that whenever we do set up the large awning, an immediate strong wind whips up. Go figure. Shame on us because it's so pretty when all displayed.

Zip-Dee Blue and White

....which reminds me...for those of you wondering what to use to clean your Zip-Dee's.I called the company to order some of their cleaning product..."Washout"...the gal on the phone let me know that they also recommend taking 1/4 C Clorox Bleach and a 1/4 C.Ivory Dish Soap or Flakes(must be Ivory)...mix in 1 Gallon of water....this supposedly is safe to use on the Zip-dee fabric and just as effective as the Washout.
