Used Zip Dee Awning Price

Searched the threads, but couldn't find the answer.

I found a used Zip Dee awning, complete with all hardware, arms and the fabric is in decent condition. No rips, tears or anything like that. It's for a 70's 31 foot A/S. The guy is asking $850 for it.

Was just wondering if this was a reasonable price for the awning? I haven't looked at it personally yet, but wanted to know if there's anything else that I should be looking at, mechanically wise, if I do decide to take a look at it. Right now, it's still attached to the airstream that it's coming off, so I will be able to roll out the fabric and look at that.

Thanks for the assistance,

It sounds high to me. Call Zipdee and get the price of new. They are user friendly unlike the other awning manufacturers who only want to deal with dealers.

Lumatic,

Thanks for the advice. Never thought about doing that. If I'm not mistaken, I could even have a new Zip Dee installed at Jackson Center, right?

That sounds very low, was that for a patio (curb side) or window (street side) awning? I paid over $1200 3 years ago for a patio awning on my 25' Trade Wind and there have been several price increases since then.

I called two weeks ago and asked for an awning for a 28' safari, I did not specify curb side or patio, he did say shipping would increase the cost by a fairly large amount

It's for a Curb side awning. Sorry I didn't mention that.

I was quoted over 2 grand for the whole set up for my 28' 1968. I just use a portable one. We can put it over the picnic table that way. We don't sit next to the trailer that much. (because of the kids running around) maybe when we are older....

Awning

If you don't buy the awning that is if you buy a new one. Would you mind sending me the info and maybe a photo of the awning. I may be interested.
If it has all the hardware and will fit my 75 Sovereign 31' footer....

Did you order the awning?

I know you posted this in September, but I wonder if you ever ordered your awning. I called ZipDee last fall for an awning for our 1978 22' Argosy Minuet and the price was going to be something like $1500. That's twice your quote plus your safari is longer.
Thoughts???

I just noticed all of the other threads, so got my question answered about price. My price did not include shipping I don't think.
