Used Awnings...

We are thinking of replacing just the fabric of our existing Zip Dee awnings.....With the 'hint' of a price increase, this has somewhat sped up the decision to actually replace them. The ones that came with our trailer are in good shape, no rips, tears, fading, etc. The only thing I can see is the grommets on the 21' curbside has left these intermittent rust marks the same size of the grommets, not really all that noticeable. We are just more akin to the blue ones. Would anyone be interested in throwing out an offer for the ones we have, I don't want to have them go to a complete waste once we get our new ones.

We have a 35' 1989 Limited, 5 awnings in total. The lengths are as follows, 21' curbside, 2'-8" or 10" curbside rear, 3'-9" rear, 9'-9" roadside, and finally an 11'-8"...I measured these all quickly myself, so I am sure one or two of them may be off by an inch or two, but I presume they are fairly standard. I will post/send pics to any inquiries. Thanks...

If you are talking about cutting the roll down, talk to Brad (flyfshr). He had one cut down a foot or so...

The fabric can be shortened but you need a hot knife to cut the acrylic fabric so it gets sealed and won't ravel and you need a walking foot industrial sewing machine to go thru sometimes 4 layers of fabric. Other than that it's a snap!

If you have a canvas or boat awning shop in your area thay surely have the equipment.

Rodney,
The material (which is what they are switching out) can be shortened by any competent awning/drapery shop. You can shorten complete awnings too but it is a bit more complicated than a pair of shears...if involves POWER tools

The streetside is 21' correct? If so, I would be interested in just that one. PM me your asking price.
