Taking the awning down for repair

Can anyone tell me how to get the canvas out of the zip dee apparatus? I have a section of it that needs repair (the right side is starting to come apart and won't stay in the track)

I'm 99% sure it's going to need to come down (and out of the mech) for repairs.
