Storm Rips awning off - Need Repair Place

Well I guess the title says it all. We live in Mississippi. We have insurance on our trailer.

A storm ripped one arm from the body of the trailer leaving a hole. We need to find a place that repairs airstreams.

Any Suggestions?

Airstream of Arkansas is close to you. Roger Williams is in Dallas might be an option.

Sorry to hear about your awning, I can't help with a repair spot as I'm in California, but I am curious. How fast was the wind blowing when it pulled that arm out? I have often wondered just how tuff' the Zipp Dee on our Stream' was?

Unhappy How fast was the wind?

I don't know for sure, I was told it was a straight line wind, probably about 50 miles an hour.

Our Airstream was pretty stable (except for the awning whipping up and down ), but others parked nearby (although they were not facing the same way we were) really got a fright because their trailers were rocking and their awnings were popping a little.

Sorry I cant help with a repair spot. Airstream of Arkansas would be my guess. I have been were you are at and its not fun.
The lesson learned here is NEVER LEAVE YOUR AWNING DEPLOYED when you are not there.
Mine got rip off and thrown clear over the trailer.
GOOD LUCK
Roger

Closest Airstream dealer is in Searcy, AR. They are nice folks and have a nice shop. According to google maps you are in Desoto county. If so , there are several good aircraft mechanics at the Olive Branch airport. They may be able to help or they may know someone in the homebuilt aircraft community who will be willing to take a look and maybe do a patch for you. I worked on planes for years and know a lot of A & P's. Most are very picky and do things exactly right. Someone builting an RV (Van's aircraft) would have all the clecos, rivets and tools to patch an Airstream. May be worth a try if you don't want to pull all the way to Searcy.
